The Butte County Historical Society is an all volunteer, non-profit organization that was established in 1956. We appreciate the support from our memberships and donations. We endeavor to support those that are interested in Butte County’s amazing history thru our research archives, museum, newletters, publications, presentations, events and by visiting our five sites, whose history is shown on this website.
