The Butte County Historical Society Museum and Event Center

The museum houses both permanent and rotating displays on Butte County’s history.  The rotating displays are drawn from our extensive collection of historical memorabilia. The permanent displays are made up from larger unique aquisitions that the Butte County Historical Society has been gifted since 1956. See an overview of the displays below. The Museum and Archives were acquired by BCHS in 1995 and opened to the public in 2000. We also hold our Speakers Series at the museum. See the Events tab for information.
