Ten Miles of Roadside Archaeology Along The Old Humboldt Wagon Road

Ten Miles of Roadside Archaeology combines archaeology with original historical research to provide fresh insight into a ten mile segment of the Old Humboldt Wagon Road that was built in 1862.  In addition to the archaeological report, there are short segments on John Bidwell’s road building venture, the lure of mines, 10-Mile House, the rock fences, etc.
