The Building of The Oroville Dam

$21.99

Started in 1961 and finished in 1968 the book is dedicated to the 34 men who lost their lives building the dam. It is the tallest earthen filled dam in the world. The project required realigning roads, building new bridges, the relocation of 350 pioneer burial sites, rerouting railroad lines and the moving and reconstruction of the 1856 historic Bidwell Bar bridge. Today, Lake Oroville is a major recreation site in Northern California.
