RESEARCHING BUTTE COUNTY HISTORY and FAMILIES

The BCHS Archives serves researchers from all over the world seeking information about hundreds of topics as well as family connections.

The goal for 2021 and going forward is to develop our online research capabilities. As you can see from the description below of our onsite archives, this is a big goal that will be developed over time. 

The onsite archival collections include over 10,000 photographs, 3.600 documents, maps, ledgers, and archival collections as well as a comprehensive research library, in addition to over 5,000 historic artifacts all collected since 1956.
